A tribute to all the tailors/embroidery experts I've driven mad over the years!
 
Remember when you'd go to your tailor (DARZI in Hindi) and ask him to use a certain fabric and then add a contrasting border cut up from an old sari or dupatta, and then add in trimmings to hide the seam, and then make pants in fabric leftover from godknowswhere, and then put it all together to make a brand new outfit? If you grew up in India, this is a very familiar tableau! We're the OG queens of reusing and repurposing!
 
This is exactly what this set it! I've used a digitally created block print, scanned embroidered fabric swatches and textures and put it all together, just like my skilled Darzi back home!  I've got to admit, this set is very close to my heart!
 
Lots of mix and match, contrasting colours and prints, yet so 'right' in its entirety, don't you think?
